A few ways to be creative with your old denim.
It is that time of the year when we are usually spring-cleaning and due to the ongoing pandemic situation, we are locked down in our homes. That means we have all the time in the world to get ready for summer and declutter. We all have a bunch of old denim in our closets that have played their part and now are ready to be dumped. Since we are constantly looking for new ways to keep ourselves busy and take every road to avoid getting bored or fed up during quarantine, let us do something crafty with those old jeans instead of saying good-bye. Here are a few DIY ideas using your old denim.
#1 Pocket Wall Organizer!
For this one, all you need to know are some basic sewing skills, old denim, and a hanger or an empty cling wrap cylinder. Oh, and some rope in case you are not using a hanger. Alright, there are many different ways you can style your wall pockets. It all depends on what you want to use them for. You can choose to use the back of the jeans, with the back pockets, of course, and make like two pockets in a row style. The column length depends on how many pairs of jeans you are using. Or, you can use the front pockets if you don’t want to use the organizer for heavy storage. Another thing you can do is, cut the legs of the jeans and sew the bottom of the upper half (the shorts). This forms a huge pocket. Make as many as you desire. It’s great for heavy storage.

#2 Ragged Denim Blanket!
Another interesting craft using your old denim. All you need are equal-sized denim square pieces and some sewing skills. If you have different shades of denim for this DIY would be great. As it will add a little definition to your blanket. Cut out equal squares and stitch them all together. And Voila! Your blanket is ready to use.
